Bellevue blows out Mercer Island

Lisa Bennett and Marika McCarthy each had three hits and Emily Fleischman had a stellar game on the mound as Bellevue rolled past Mercer Island 15-0 in KingCo 3A/2A softball play.

Fleischman earned her fourth win of the year and remained undefeated in league play by pitching three scoreless innings of no-hit ball. The freshman struck out seven of the nine batters she faced.

Kenzie Carlsen finished things up for the Wolverines (4-3, 2-0 league), pitching the final two innings and allowing only one hit.

Charlotte Pearman took the loss for the Islanders.

Juanita 11, Interlake 6

Brooke Rychard had a huge game for the Rebels, going 5-for-5 with two doubles and four RBIs in an 11-6 Juanita win.

Kylie Sparks got the win for the Rebels (7-1, 2-0), striking out 11 in five innings of work. Sparks allowed only three hits and walked one.

Stefanie Rabitoy was tagged with the loss for the Saints (1-3, 0-1), going three and 2/3 innings and allowing nine hits. Maddy Schiappa went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI for Interlake.

April 6

Bellevue 5, Mount Si 4

Bellevue led 4-0 early, but Mount Si rallied to get within one run in the final inning before Emily Fleischman got the final out to preserve the Wolverine’s win.

Carly Brog went 3-for-4 with a double to lead Bellevue (3-3, 1-0 KingCo 3A/2A).

Maura Murphy went 2-for-4 for the Wildcats (1-4, 0-1) with two RBIs in the loss.

Juanita 10, Sammamish 0

The Rebels scored four times in the first inning and six times in the fourth to defeat the Totems 10-0 in Kirkland.

Kylie Sparks improved her record to 5-1 for Juanita (6-1, 1-0) by pitching three innings and striking out six. Jessica Leach led the way at the plate for the Rebels, going 3-for-3 with a homerun and four RBIs.

Allyson Brown was tagged with the loss for Sammamish (4-2, 0-1). Brown allowed 10 runs on 13 hits and walked four in four innings of work.
