Birders from across the region flocked to King County’s Marymoor Park in Saturday to celebrate the new Audubon Birdloop, a trail that provides an up-close glimpse of the wildlife that lives within rare native lowland habitat.

More than 660,000 ballots were mailed Thursday to absentee voters for Washington’s first Top 2 primary. Ballots were mailed to voters serving in the military, living overseas and out of state on July 18 to allow extra transit time for delivery.
The King County Bar Association has rated nine candidates for judicial election as “exceptionally well qualified” for contested positions on the King County Superior and Washington State Supreme courts. The course of Bellevue’s development did not always run smooth.
