Student awarded WSU scholarship

Nolan J. Gilliam will receive a $500 Ruth and Fred Schroeder Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year at Washington State University.

Nolan J. Gilliam will receive a $500 Ruth and Fred Schroeder Scholarship for the 2008-2009 academic year at Washington State University.

Gilliam, a 2005 Newport High School graduate, has an associate’s degree from Bellevue Community College. He has been on the president’s honor roll and is a social chair for the International Business Club at WSU.

Gilliam plans to graduate from WSU in May 2010 with degrees in international business and economics. He is the son of Laura and Mark Gilliam of Bellevue.
