As most people start shopping for Christmas gifts, here is another thought for you to consider. If you really don’t need more stuff, and want to help someone, tell your family the gift you want is a check made out to the Union Gospel Mission or Salvation Army.

Tell your family you will match the dollars, and send all the checks in together. Everyone gets their tax deduction, you get the gift of helping someone and a worthy agency can do more to help the homeless and those in desperate need. It will give you and them a merry Christmas.
