Wolverines keeper is confident on the soccer pitch

Bellevue girls soccer team is looking to return to the state tournament this fall

Last year was a dream season for the Bellevue Wolverines soccer squad.

The Wolverines, who finished with an overall record of 18-2, captured fourth place at the Class 3A state soccer tournament at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup in November 2014.

The Wolverines were undefeated until the Class 3A semifinals. Bellevue senior goalie Brittley Gaan, who split time as the team’s starting goalie last season, will be the Wolverines full-time goalie in 2015.

“We’re coming back from an undefeated regular season. I’m very confident in our team. We have a lot of new players and I’m very excited for this season. We just work so well together as a team,” Gaan said. “We always want to stay confident and stay positive. We want to make sure we never get down on ourselves. The priority is to have our team be like a family.”

Recently the Bellevue Reporter had an opportunity to ask Gaan a few questions about her life away from the soccer field.
