Karrie Rae Ohail Spitzer
Karrie Spitzer of Marysville, WA was just 40 years old when she passed away on September 18, 2015 at UW Medical Center after a year long battle with leukemia.
Karrie was born in Everett, WA on November 19, 1974 and spent most of her childhood in Bellevue, WA where she graduated from Sammamish High School in 1993. She attended Lake Washington Vo-Tech and worked for a short time for an executive head hunter company. She married Michael James Spitzer in 1997. Besides being a devoted wife to Mike and mother to daughter Emily Rae and son Mason James, Karrie was active in her children’s school activities, serving one year as co-president of the PTSA. Karrie loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener and concrete sculpture artist. We will miss her beautiful smile and loving caring spirit.
She is survived by her husband and children; as well as her parents, Carol and Jerry Ohail of Allyn, WA; grandmother, Beatrice A. York of Walla Walla; mother and father-in-law, Jane and Bob Phillips of Everett, WA; father and mother-in-law Ken and Pat Spitzer of Whidby Island, sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Mike Brennan of Gilbert, AZ; brother and sister-in-law Darren and Ngoc Ohail of Sammamish Wa; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Wendy Ohail of Maple Valley, WA; and brother Tim Ohail of Richland, WA; sister-in-law, Cherie Spitzer of Everett, WA; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requests that donations be made in Karrie’s name to the Providence Regional Cancer Partnership in Everett, WA.
