Wolverines escape with overtime win | Girls soccer

Bellevue trailed early but fought back late behind a pair of goals from Natalie Nelson to defeat Mount Si 3-2.

Bellevue trailed Mount Si 2-1 in the second half before Natalie Nelson netted a pair of late scores, the second in overtime, to propel the Wolverines to the next round of the 3A KingCo girls soccer tournament with a 3-2 win over the Wildcats.

Rachel Wadell got Bellevue on the board in the 33rd minute on an assist from Kaitlyn Melby, who also assisted on both of Nelson’s goals.

The Wolverines will face Lake Washington in the next round after the Kangs defeated Mercer Island 1-0, also in overtime.
