Bellevue falls to Mercer Island

Mercer Island handed Bellevue its first loss of the conference season, erasing a late deficit to win 50-49. Shelby Cansler scored 12 and Mandy Steward added 11 in the loss.

Newport wins again

Newport trailed at the half to Garfield before exploding for a 39-17 advantage in the final two periods of a 53-44 win.

Bellevue Christian splits pair

The Vikings got 12 points from Ashley Osborn in a 49-36 win over Vashon.

Rachel Williams added eight more as BCS built a double digit lead at the halftime break.

The Vikings followed that with a 36-35 loss to Eatonville.

Sammamish 31 Interlake 28

The Totems held Interlake scoreless in the first quarter and withstood a late charge to get the win.

Juanita beat Interlake 80-32 on Friday.

The Totems rebounded with a 54-41 win over Mount Si behind 27 points from Montana Hagstrom and 15 more from Marissa Mincy.

Chiara Victor scored 24 to lead the Knights and Kaitlin Sahlinger added 10 more.

Bellevue wins two duals, places at Shoreline

Bellevue won a pair of dual wrestling meets to keep its record perfect at 4-0.

Jason Presley (126), Garrett Williams (138), Cole Bouwman (145), Zach England (195) and Alec Palander (220) won matches for the Wolverines in a 34-30 dual win over Interlake.

Korey Yamagata (195) and Chandler Ewing (152) joined Presley and Williams as winners in a 39-36 dual meet win over Juanita.

Three Wolverines won championships at the Shoreline Invitational, as Williams, Palander and John Mancuso picked up titles.

Ewing finished second and Presley, Nathan Smith and England were third place finishers as Bellevue ended the tournament in fourth place out of eight teams.
