The youngest stars of the baseball and softball diamond are gearing up for All-Stars and finishing local tournaments

The regular season is finished for Little League baseball and softball teams throughout Bellevue, with tournament champions being crowned and All-Star teams taking shape.

Bellevue West’s Pirates squad took the City Tournament title at the Major division, beating the Mercer Island Yankees 4-3 in the championship game.

The Pirates scored all four runs in the first inning, and used a 10-strikeout performance from pitcher Connor Cirillo to get the win. Henry Marks and catcher Mark Yeatts combined to putout the tying run at the plate to preserve the victory in the sixth inning.

The City Tournament includes teams from each of the three Bellevue Little Leagues, as well as Mercer Island Little League.

Team members include: Connor Cirillo, Mark Yeatts, Jason Lazar, Brady Kim, Michael Medeiros, Jacob Blasko, Henry Marks, Henry Hawblitzel, Decker Mecham, Tyler Smith, Quinn Shilman, Alex Maffei.

Bellevue East Pirates win AA league championship


Bellevue East’s Pirates won the AA division, winning the final game of the season 10-9 at Federal Field.

The team members include: Logan Arthur, Collin Feldman, Barry Morrissette, Caden Feldman, Aaron Hamilton, Bet Goett, Dayne Castillo, Josh Ala, Austin Fink, Andrew Chao, Chloe Hamilton, Peter Wassell.
