The Saints won the team title and along with Bellevue will send a large contingent to state.

Interlake junior Aleana Groenhout, already a two-time state qualifier, ran away with the 2A/3A KingCo title on Tuesday at the Eagle’s Talon course at Willows Run Golf Course, lapping the field by 11 strokes and leading the Saints to the team scoring championship in the process.

Groenhout finished with a 36-37-73 to beat out Lake Washington’s Anna Jessen and Mount Si freshman Catlin Maralack.

Interlake freshman Delaney Douglas was fourth with a score of 88, while Tenessee Hardesty, a senior, shot 96 to make the cut along with Danielle Niemann.
