Garnett will try for a third straight high school state title in the Tri-Cities

Interlake’s Connor Garnett won the Sea-King District tennis tournament singles title May 21 at Lower Woodland Park in Seattle, taking all three of his matches 2-0 to take a top seed to the 3A state tennis tournament.

The championship was the third straight for Garnett, who will try and add a third state championship to his mantle next week.

Isabelle and Melissa Long finished fifth in the girls doubles tournament, reaching the quarterfinals before falling 2-0.

Lina Larson finished fourth for the Saints in the girls singles bracket, winning her first match after an opening round bye. Larson won the KingCo championship the previous week.

The 3A state tennis championships are May 30 and 31 in Kennewick.
