Interlake golf stays undefeated with 2A/3A KingCo Medalist Tournament win

Interlake continued its dominance on the links Tuesday, winning the 2A/3A KingCo Medalist tournament in front of second place Bellevue and third place Sammamish.

Juniors Andrew Kennedy and Patrick Sato led the Saints to a first place finish at the KingCo Medalist Tournament at Willows Run- Coyote Creek on Tuesday with a score of 394, 21 strokes in front of second place Bellevue and 29 better than third place Sammamish.

Kennedy and Sato both shot a round of 77 to finish tied for third place behind Juanita’s Frank Garber and Lake Washington’s Steven Hopkins.

Andy Liu, Sam Fisher and Grant Cole all ended the day in the top-10 for the Saints.

Top-10 finishers from Bellevue were Radleigh Ang, Chandler Hawk, Brock Meitl and Sam Johnson.

Paul Heywood from Sammamish shot an 83 to finish tied for 10th place.

The District tournament will take place on Monday, Oct. 17 also at Willows Run in Redmond.

Bellevue Christian 3 Northwest 0Katie Hoffman had a team-high 15 digs to go with a pair of aces and two kills to lead the Vikings. Meredith Lampe totaled eight digs, four kills, two aces along with one block and one assist.
