Bellevue 9 Palo Verde 2

Bellevue moved its mark to a perfect 6-0-0 on the year with a win over Palo Verde, a defending state champion in Nevada, at the Northwest Invitational at Mercer Island High School.

Simeon Jenkin, Hank Bethke, Cole Johnson and Campbell Alexiff each scored two goals for the Wolverines in the win.

Bellevue also beat Lincoln (Oregon) 5-0 in the tournament.

Bellevue got on the board with a Ryan Harber goal in the first half before putting things away on strikes from Bennett Bugbee (penalty kick) and Cody Gibson (from Tristan Brown).
