The Wolverines fell behind by three runs in the first inning, but chipped away at the Saints’ margin and plated the game-tying run in the top half of the seventh, before winning 5-3 in 11 innings.

Brady Carlson had four hits and Chris Schasteen added two more, while Ruric Ellings got the win on the mound after working six innings in relief.

Henry Lin and Christian McDonald had multi-hit games for Interlake, and Nate Wehner knocked in two runs in the loss.

The Wolverines came back to win a 6-5 game the next day over Woodinville, as Schasteen knocked in two more runs and had three base hits.

Bellevue, unbeaten in 3A KingCo play, sits alone atop the conference standings.

Zack Leban knocked in two runs and Ben Friedman finished with a pair of base hits, a run scored and an RBI as the Totems took care of Liberty.

Leban also worked a complete game shutout on the mound to get the win.

South Kitsap 0 Newport 1

Logan Kyte had the only RBI in the game, and Todd Reese tossed seven scoreless innings to get the Knights the win.
