Central Catholic High School of Portland defeated the Wolverines by 24-23.
For their first football game of the season, the Bellevue High School Wolverines played Central Catholic High of Portland on September 3.
The Wolverines were 3A state champions in 2021, while Central Catholic were Oregon’s 5A state champions. Bellevue came out strong and was leading for much of the game, but Central Catholic kicked a last second field goal, winning the game 24-23.
The Wolverines’ next game will take place on September 9 at Lake Stevens High School at 7 p.m.
