The Wolverines finished third in Class 3A in boys and girls basketball with wins over Wilson

Bellevue finished the basketball season with a pair of third place trophies Saturday in the Tacoma Dome, as its boys and girls squads beat Wilson a day after falling in the semi finals.

The Wolverines’ boys won 71-61 behind 20 points from conference Player of the Year Kyle Foreman, who finished 5-10 from the floor and hit three shots from beyond the arc.

Sharif Khan finished with 13 points and Gunther Klimes  added 12 to go with eight rebounds. Timmy Haehl added 10 and Hunter Cikatz added nine more in a balanced offensive effort from Bellevue in its final game of the year.

Shelby Cansler hit seven of her 10 shots on the night and added 10 points from the line to score a game high 24 points and help her team to a third place finish at the girls state tournament.

Mandy Steward added 12 as the Wolverines shot 50 percent from the floor.
