Bellevue boys still perfect in KingCo

Bellevue beat Sammamish 76-31 Tuesday behind a game high 17 points from Kyle Foreman and 16 more from Mikey Henn.

Robert Ambartsumyan scored eight to lead the way for the Totems in the loss.

The Wolverines, still unbeaten in conference play at 9-0, face Juanita at home with a scheduled 8 p.m. tip.

Sammamish plays Lake Washington tonight at 8 p.m. in a matchup between the conference’s 2A squads. The Kangs need only one win or one loss by the Totems in the final two-plus weeks of the season to clinch KingCo’s only 2A playoff spot.

Interlake beat Liberty 57-51 Tuesday to pick up its second conference win of the year, getting 22 points from Austin Clark and 10 more from Nate Webner.

The Saints erased a halftime deficit to take care of the Patriots and face Mercer Island tonight at 8 p.m.

Newport boys get win

Newport won its first 4A KingCo game of the season Tuesday, beating Woodinville 61-60.

The Knights play Skyline Friday at 8 p.m.

Girls teams after postseason spots

Newport’s girls basketball team, still leading the pack in the Crown Division of 4A KingCo, beat Woodinville 56-44 Wednesday and faces Skyline Friday in a 6:30 p.m. tip.

That game is also the team’s annual Cancer Awareness Night, with the girls team wearing pink uniforms and proceeds being raised for awareness and treatment.

Interlake lost 51-39 to Liberty and hosts Mercer Island Friday.

Bellevue, which finds itself in third place in the conference, meets Juanita Friday after taking care of crosstown Sammamish 72-32 Wednesday.

Dejah Rogers led the way with 10 points and Erin McGowan and Kate Holmes each added eight.

Sammamish visits Lake Washington Friday.

Bellevue Christian 45 Chimacum 13

The Vikings ran away from Chimacum after building an early lead, winning 45-13 behind seven points from Ashley Osborn and six more from Ali Vitalone and Rachel Berg.
