PSE’s insinuations are disingenuous | Letter

In the June 3 Puget Sound Energy/Energize Eastside article, Nedrud of PSE is quoted as saying that, "We believe the bypass routes are necessary … in the event that the East Bellevue Community Council acts arbitrarily to reject any permit application within its jurisdiction."

In the June 3 Puget Sound Energy/Energize Eastside article, Nedrud of PSE is quoted as saying that, “We believe the bypass routes are necessary … in the event that the East Bellevue Community Council acts arbitrarily to reject any permit application within its jurisdiction.”

Nedrud is indirectly referencing the EBCC’s rejection of PSE’s proposed route along 148th Avenue Southeast.

This was certainly not an “arbitrary” decision on the part of EBCC. It was meticulously studied, discussed and voted on by a dedicated group of elected Bellevue citizens who, in the many EBCC meetings that I have attended, have never made an arbitrary decision.

To insinuate they would do so is disingenuous.
