Vans will deliver guests to the five participating homes from the Overlake Country Club (8000 NE 16th St., Medina) and First Church of Christ, Scientist parking lot in Bellevue (801 Lake Washington Blvd. NE).

This year’s tour includes five houses in Medina, Yarrow Point and Meydenbauer Bay in Bellevue. Two of the homes were built in the early 1900s and have been restored.

Each home on the tour will be decked from top to bottom with gorgeous decor and different themes by various professional decorators, all capturing the holiday spirit. The tour will give an inside peak at Christmas-kissed tennis courts, an outdoor pool, an indoor pool room, a billiards room, spacious kitchens, great rooms, and outdoor living areas.

Step into the Winter Wonderland at each home including a seven-story, waterfront home decorated with a whimsical feel by freelance decorator Beverly Burrows. For more than 15 years, Burrows has mixed her creativity with a vibrant imagination to transform the Meydenbauer Bay home into a true North Pole experience.

“It began when their boys were young and now they are in college, still, every year we have so much fun decorating the home and seeing their reactions,” she said.

Burrows has been adding to her collection of holiday decorations for nearly two decades.

“You couldn’t put a price on this,” she joked. “This home captures a very fun side of the holiday season.”

Burrows stays busy during the holiday season. This year alone, she will be making her rounds to 13 homes in the area.

“I tend to do more traditional and rustic holiday-themed homes but this (Meydenbauer Bay) home gives me a chance to tap into the kid inside of me,” she explained.

This year, the front entry way of the Meydenbauer Bay home leads into a land of snowfall, bright lights, and playful elves. The kitchen has been transformed into a colorful candy land. In the main room, glowing reindeer prance high above, lush evergreen trees shine with white lights, and Santa holds a giant bowl of Hershey Kisses, giving away “Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses.”
