Scorching temps bring hoards to Crossroads Spray Park | Photos

One of the city's most popular warm weather destinations was packed early in the week as temperatures soared to record-highs.

With temperatures topping out at record highs early in the week, parents and youngsters alike were left looking for a place to escape the stifling heat and the Crossroads Spray Park was one of the most popular destinations.

Bellevue resident Grace Hong and her 20-month-old son Noah made their first trip to the park, despite living in the city for nearly four years.

“We heard about it from a friend and it is really close to where we live,” she said. “The kids can just run around, the safety is great and there are a lot of friends here.”

According to Accuweather, Bellevue reached a high of 93 on Sunday and hit 89 Monday before falling back into the 70s mid-week. Temperatures were forecasted to remain in the low 70s for the Fourth of July weekend.
