Theft: Unknown time, 3000 block of Northup Way. A bookkeeper was arrested for stealing more than $97,000 of money and art from a local art gallery.

Aug. 28

Questionable actions: Unknown time, 13200 block of Northeast 20th Street. The victim brought two chairs to upholstery store and paid money to have them repaired. The owner of the store then closed his business, keeping the chairs and the money. The total amount of loss was more than $1,000.

Nov. 1

Bank deposit theft: Unknown time, 14600 block of Northeast 24th Street. The complainant reported the suspect stole business bank deposits worth more than $9,000.

Nov. 4

Malicious mischief: 11 p.m., 15200 block of Northeast Fourth Place. The suspect damaged a vehicle by slashing three tires and breaking two windows. The total amount of loss was more than $1,000.

Nov. 9

Verbal abuse: Unknown time, 1000 block of 116th Avenue Northeast. Overlake Hospital reported that a husband was verbally abusive to his wife while she was in the hospital.

Nov. 13

Theft: 6 p.m., 3000 block of Landerholm Circle. Several items were stolen from Bellevue Community College’s administration area. The total loss was more than $1,000.

Nov. 14

Assault: 5:39 a.m., 600 block of 140th Court Southeast. A suspect assaulted Overlake Hospital staff after being involuntarily committed.

Delusional spitter: Between 4:08 a.m. and 4:59 a.m., 1000 block of 116th Avenue Northeast. Police took a subject into protective custody for delusional thoughts and inability to care for himself while he was at Overlake Hospital. The subject spit on a security guard while at the facility.

Nov. 15

Malicious mischief: Unknown time, Northeast First Place and 140th Avenue Northeast. The lighting system at the entrance to the Clairborne Neighborhood was smashed resulting in more than $3,000 in damage.

Medina

Mid-November

Vehicle prowl: 500 block of Upland Road. The suspect(s) entered the vehicle, which was parked along the roadway, and rifled through the glove box. Small electronics equipment and paperwork were taken. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. Estimated value of the loss is approximately $50.

Dec. 1

Vehicle pursuit: 2:20 a.m. Medina Park. Medina Police assisted the Washington State Patrol with a vehicle pursuit that had ended at that location. State Troopers pursued the recklessly driven vehicle into Medina where the suspect abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. A K-9 Unit responded in an attempt to locate the suspect, however the man remains at large.
