Northwest Paragliding Club offers special fundraising flight

People can experience the thrill of flying Tiger Mountainon on July 19 with an experienced, certified paraglide instructor at a special price that will benefit the Northwest Paragliding Club.

 

People can experience the thrill of flying Tiger Mountainon on July 19 with an experienced, certified paraglide instructor at a special price that will benefit the Northwest Paragliding Club.The one-day event offers tandem instructional flights for $130 – $50 off the normal price. All funds will support the club and paragliding.

Those interested must weigh between 75 and 275 pounds and be able to run 5-10 steps downhill. They also must sign a waiver.

This special rate will be offered from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plan to depart from the Tiger Mountain landing zone on Issaquah-Hobart Road, about three miles south of downtown Issaquah, where you will see an orange wind sock in the field. Participants can either hike to the launch site or take a shuttle for $15. Plan to spend two to four hours at the mountain.

Online reservations can be made at www.nwparagliding.com. In the event of rain, the event will be rescheduled to July 20.
