Model T club completes coast-to-coast trip

Members of the national Model T club recently reenacted the coast-to-coast race of 1909, driving more than 50 vintage vehicles from New York City to Seattle, over the Cascade Mountains and eventually descending upon the University of Washington finish line.

On Saturday, July 11, the vintage cars could be spotted driving through Snoqualmie Pass, to North Bend, and through Issaquah where the Issaquah Historical Society hosted an exhibit. Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels and University of Washington President Mark Emmert welcomed the Model Ts to Seattle on Sunday, July 12, as the cars crossed the finish Line at the University of Washington.
