Microsoft Corporation has contributed $100,000 to Inspiration Playground Capital PLAY FOR ALL Campaign. The announcement was made in April, 2014 during the Rotary Club of Bellevue’s weekly meeting.

“We’re proud to help bring this enhanced playground to the Bellevue community, to be enjoyed by our neighbors, our employees and their families,” said Akhtar Badshah, senior director, Citizenship and Public Affairs, Microsoft.  “This investment is one of the many ways we support a high quality of life that is accessible to all in the Puget Sound.”

The Rotary Club of Bellevue is in charge of coordinating the $4.3 million Inspiration Playground capital campaign. The club has partnered with the city of Bellevue to help fund and build a inclusive outdoor play environment and sensory garden at the Bellevue Downtown Park.

Approximately $1,740,000 to date has been raised in gifts and pledges. The immediate goal is to raise an additional $500,000 so construction can begin in the fall of 2015. Another $2.1 million will complete the full project build-out.
