Four students win awards in history event

Four Bellevue students at Eastside Catholic High School won awards in Washington History Day, a regional competition held in seven locations around Washington in February and March.

Four Bellevue students at Eastside Catholic High School won awards in Washington History Day, a regional competition held in seven locations around Washington in February and March.

Those winning were Evan Fowler, Stephanie Lucas, Cam Patrick and Ben Reynolds.

Evan Fowler was part of a team that placed first in the Museum Exhibit category for Averting Conflict: The San Juan Border Dispute of 1859.

Stephanie Lucas was part of a group that placed third in the Documentary category for The Power of Persuasion: The Committee on Public Information and the Start of World War I.

Cam Patrick was an honorable mention in Documentary for The Bay of Pigs Invasion.

Ben Reynolds won an honorable mention in Dramatic Presentation for A Treaty Betrayed: The Makah Whaling Conflict.
