Dale King named president of Bellevue College Foundation board

Dale King, Principal (Interior Special Projects Division) with GLY Construction, a native of Bellevue, has been named president of the Bellevue College Foundation Board of Directors for a one-year term beginning July 1, 2010.

Dale King, Principal (Interior Special Projects Division) with GLY Construction, a native of Bellevue, has been named president of the Bellevue College Foundation Board of Directors for a one-year term beginning July 1, 2010.

King has been a member of the foundation board for five years and previously chaired its Directors Committee.

King succeeds Rob McKenna, Washington State Attorney General, who continues on the board and Executive Committee.

Other new officers elected for 2010-11 are:

Secretary: Paul Swegle, Seattle, Sharebuilder Corporation

Treasurer: John Calhoun, Redmond, Union Bank California

The Bellevue College Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 1978 to raise funds to enhance educational opportunities at BC.

The foundation provides funding for scholarships, program enhancements and special projects at BC.

The foundation has raised more than $25 million on behalf of Bellevue College.
