Fake out: A suspect used fake $100 bills at two different stores in Bellevue Square. Security lost sight of him in the parking garage.

‘Curb’ your anger: Officers responded to an incident involving a reckless driver at a gas station in the 11900 block of NE 8th St. The 911 caller reported that “the driver is running and hitting things in the gas station.” Officers located a damaged 2016 Ford Fusion driven by the suspect, who told police he was attempting to remove debris from the undercarriage of his rental vehicle by driving over a nearby curb.

Arrested: Bike officers contacted a man sitting in his car in the Downtown QFC parking lot, as they could see a meth pipe on the passenger seat. They found meth and heroin inside the vehicle.

August 12

Theft: The suspect stole a tent from a sporting goods store in the 4000 block of Factoria Blvd. When police found him, he stated that he had swallowed some heroin just before being contacted. Police also found a small package of heroin in his sock.

Bizarre bonfire: Police responded to a call of a suspicious fire in Zumdieck Park. They found a large tree stump on fire with a chafing dish heater inside.

Phone fumble: A man looked down to find his phone while driving northbound on 118th Avenue Southeast. He drove off the right side of the road and collided with a chain link fence.
