A Child Safety Day and Law Enforcement Appreciation Day will be celebrated from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 31 at Factoria mall in Bellevue.

The event will include free health and safety information from experts; fun kid activities, music and giveaways; information about health, parent and family support agencies; and a free child ID program. In addition, children can get a free photo of themselves sitting on a police motorcycle.

The first 50 children under age 12 will receive a free bike helmet. Additional helmets will be sold for $9 each while supplies last.

The event is co-sponsored by the Bellevue Police Department, city of Bellevue and Savvy Parents Safe Kids.
