C. Joanne Podratz of Bellevue passed away on July 10, 2011. She was born on Oct. 27, 1933 in Seattle to Harry and Vivienne Guay. She graduated from Renton H.S. in 1951 and worked at Western Electric until her marriage to Eldon Podratz on May 21, 1955.

In 1964 where she established a home daycare in Renton while her children were young. She later worked at a bookstore, a dentist office and auto license agencies.

She is survived by brothers Harry Guay Jr., Paul Guay, Vernon Guay and Art Larson; sisters Jean Willingham, Marilyn Gresseth; children Marcy Quandt, Marc Podratz, Melody Butenko, Kim Williams; and six grandchildren. There will be no funeral service. Contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Society.
