Bellevue’s Jennifer Kaufman elected to recycling group’s board

Jennifer Kaufman, Conservation & Outreach Program Administrator for city of Bellevue Utilities, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Washington State Recycling Association.

The election results were announced during the association’s 29th Annual Conference & Trade Show May 4 in Yakima. Kaufman’s term runs for two years.

The Washington State Recycling Association, formed in 1976, is the trade organization that represents Washington’s diverse recycling community. Its mission is to provide leadership and education that fosters the expansion, diversity and economic vitality of recycling as part of sustainable resource management.

Its 280 member organizations and over 700 individuals include collectors, processors, brokers, agencies at all levels of government, manufacturers who use recycled content, transportation companies, electronics recyclers and others.
