Bellevue man flips ’68 Corvette, arrested for DUI

A 52-year-old Bellevue man had a really bad day March 20. Not only did he flip his classic 1968 Corvette, but also he was arrested by State Patrol Troopers for DUI.

 

A 52-year-old Bellevue man had a really bad day March 20. Not only did he flip his classic 1968 Corvette, but also he was arrested by State Patrol Troopers for DUI.

Troopers were called to the scene of the accident at 5:20 p.m. on westbound I-90 near West Lake Sammamish Parkway. The Corvette upside down near the right shoulder with the driver partially ejected.

Multiple witnesses told Troopers that the vehicle was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed just prior to colliding with the concrete jersey wall and rolling over.

The driver was transported to Overlake Hospital with serious injuries. He was later arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence.
