Update: Due to storm-like conditions and high winds, the night construction schedule on Monday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 15 has been postponed.

To prepare for a delivery of girders on State Route 520. the Washington Department of Transportation is closing the entire highway tonight.

Beginning Monday, March 14 at 11 p.m. and stretching to Tuesday, March 15 at 5 a.m. SR-520 between Montlake Boulevard and 92nd Avenue Northeast will be closed to allow trucks to safely maneuver into the construction area.

A total of 353 girders will be delivered and placed into position on the highway during 2016 as part of the West Approach Bridge North Project.

In addition to the complete closure of the highway on Monday night and Tuesday morning, crews will also close all westbound lanes from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. every night from Tuesday to Friday, March 18.
