I know first-hand that Pat Cashman erred when he said in his Nov. 12 column that Who’s Who requires a fee from people included in their annual books.

Cashman ought to retract the statement and apologize.

I was only writing from my own experience, 25 years ago. Perhaps that publication has since changed its policy, or perhaps there are several different such annual books, some legitimate, some not. I did a Google check and found several sites citing ‘who’s who’ type scams in all fields.
