West77 Partners has submitted its design for a six-story Hilton Garden Inn to be constructed on 108th Avenue Northeast in downtown Bellevue next year.

The hotel is to be sited on a vacant lot at 965 108th Ave. N.E., and include 254 rooms and two levels of underground parking to accommodate 187 vehicles.

Kurt Jensen of Jensen Fey Architecture and Planning said the hotel will include a public restaurant and lounge, meeting rooms, fitness rooms and a swimming pool.

He said permit applications are expected to be submitted near the end of the year, with construction slated for the second quarter of 2015. Construction is anticipated to last 14 months.

“We’ve gone through some rigorous design review with the city and the neighbors,” Jensen said of blending the new hotel with surrounding buildings, which included limiting its height to about 80 feet in response to concerns from residents in a neighboring condominium. “For Hilton Garden Inns, it will be one of the nicer ones.”
