Wolverines defeat Islanders

The Bellevue Wolverines cruised to a 61-14 victory against Mercer Island on Oct. 14. Bellevue (3-1) will face the Redmond Mustangs at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21 in Redmond.

Interlake gets back in win column

After two consecutive losses, the Interlake Saints found themselves back in the win column with a 21-7 victory against the Lake Washington Kangaroos on Oct. 14. The Saints (5-2) will host the Juanita Rebels at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Interlake High School in Bellevue.

Totems nab fourth victory

The Sammamish Totems earned a 30-17 win against Ingraham on Oct. 14. The Totems (4-3) will host the Liberty Patriots at 7 p.m. on Oct. 21 at Sammamish High School in Sammamish.

GOLF

Zhao takes district title

Newport Knights junior golfer Ivan Zhao won the Class 4A district golf championship on Oct. 11 in Snohomish. Zhao finished the two-day tournament with 143 strokes. Mount Si’s Drew Warford finished in second place (144). Newport senior Travis Kay finished tied for fifth place (146).

Yang takes second place at KingCo tournament

Bellevue Wolverines tennis player Cameron Yang earned second place at the Class 3A KingCo tennis tournament on Oct. 11 at Mercer Island High School. Yang lost to Mercer Island’s Zach Chew 2-0 (6-2, 6-1) in the title match.

Bellevue wins matchup against Interlake

The Bellevue Wolverines earned a 3-2 win in five sets against the Interlake Saints on Oct. 12. Bellevue (11-2) will host the Redmond Mustangs at 7 p.m. on Oct. 24. Interlake (6-7) will host the Sammamish Totems at 7 p.m. on Oct. 24 in Bellevue.
