Thank you, Bellevue School District | Letter

This year I have children in three different schools: Puesta del Sol Elementary, Tillicum Middle and Newport High. As a result, I attended three different curriculum nights in September. Following these events, I left all three schools simply amazed at the education my children are receiving. Every teacher I encountered was well qualified, intelligent, enthusiastic and devoted to their students.

Many could be working in other fields, but were bringing their education and experience into the classroom. Their energy was contagious. I heard more than one parent leave Newport saying they wish they could do high school all over again because the teachers made time in their classroom seem so appealing and worthwhile. All of my children are finding opportunities to expand their own learning and experiences both during the school day and in extracurricular activities.

So, I would like to praise the teachers for their direct daily interactions with my children, and I would like to praise the administrators for their devotion to seeking out and hiring such outstanding teachers. Thank you to Bellevue School District employees in every capacity. It is going to be a terrific school year yet again.
