ROLAND ERNEST DAVIS

In loving memory of Roland Ernest Davis, Age 87, who passed peacefully from this life into the next on June 28, 2013. He was born in Seattle, on February 20,1926. He graduated from Lincoln High School, in Seattle, in 1944 and joined the USA Navy. He married Elizabeth/Betty Anne Rutledge in 1947 and began their life of 66 years together. They lived in Seattle until 1958 when they moved to Everett, living there for 8 years before moving to Bellevue. They belonged to Sacred Heart Church in Bellevue for 47 years.

He was trained as an airplane mechanic in the Navy and continued his education to become an Industrial Engineer. He and his wife Betty had a Real Estate Investment & Property Management Business for 26 years.

He loved to work with his hands. He helped build his family two beautiful homes and a summer cabin which they spent many years enjoying. He taught his children to love the outdoors. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, playing golf and he loved to fish.

He was survived by his wife Elizabeth/Betty Anne, his four children, daughters, Linda Lee Rutledge, Dianne Louise Ramsey and sons, Mark Roland Davis, Bradley William Davis, their spouses, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

There will be a Double Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church in Bellevue for him and his wife, Elizabeth/Betty Anne, on what would have been his 88th birthday, Thursday, Feb 20 at 9:00am. They will be inurned together in a private burial ceremony at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
