Residents in part of East Bellevue can vote in November on whether the East Bellevue Community Council will continue to exist. The ballot measure is required by state law every four years for the EBCC, which has the power to reject some land-use actions in a part of East Bellevue.

The EBCC announced on April 4 that it is accepting applications from members of the public who are interested in helping formulate statements for and against continuation of the EBCC. The “statement for” and the “statement against” (in addition to a rebuttal of the opposing statement) will appear in the King County Local Voters’ Pamphlet to be published for the Nov. 7 General Election.

People interested in applying may do so online. Community service applications can also be picked up from the City Clerk’s Office, the Service First Desk at City Hall, the Bellevue Regional Library, the Lake Hills Library, or the Mini City Hall at Crossroads Shopping Center. A faxed copy may be requested by calling 425-452-6806.

Applications must be received by the City Clerk on or before April 28 at 5 p.m. Applications may be submitted by any of the below listed options:
