Oct. 15

Stolen pistol: At 7:15 a.m. in the 15800 block of Southeast 37th Street, a suspect forced entry into a victim’s car and stole two suitcases from inside. One suitcase had a .45 caliber pistol. There is no suspect information.

Stealing resident: At 9:55 a.m. in the 14500 block of Northeast 40th Street, a resident of a senior assisted living facility has been stealing property and disturbing residents. On this day, the resident would not leave the manager’s office. They concealed an exterior brass water spout that she took from the manager’s desk.

Oct. 17

Dispute among suspects: At 4:48 a.m. in the 500 block of 116th Avenue Northeast, a suspect who allegedly committed a theft from a local store got into a fight. The driver had left the other subject while he was still in the store. During the argument, one of the people struck the other person with garden pruners. The victim ran from the scene, but was found behind the winter shelter.

Hungry and nowhere to cook: At 5:55 p.m. in the 1500 block of Bellevue Way Northeast, a hungry person could not find a park with a grill. The subject decided to cook a potato wrapped in tin foil in a tree stump near the sidewalk. The flames were 6 inches in height.

Oct. 18

Storage unit break-in: At 9:30 a.m. in the 12800 block of Northup Way, multiple storage units were broken into overnight. The suspect cut the locks and then placed them back onto the clasp.

Oct. 20

Car prowl: At 10:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of 142nd Place Southeast, overnight a subject’s car was unlawfully entered. A laptop and two checkbooks were stolen.
