Keep an eye out: A suspect was ringing doorbells on 170th Place Southeast. When one homeowner confronted him, the man said he was “looking for his dog” and fled in a grey minivan. Police suspect he was looking for homes to burglarize. He was described as a white male, possibly with a glass eye.

Sept. 14

Bloodied and bruised: A subject called 911 to report that his uncle returned home, was covered in blood and appeared to have been beaten up. Officers arrived and requested aid for his injuries. The victim would not cooperate with the investigation. He was transported to the hospital.

Sept. 15

Highland hullabaloo: The Highland Middle School principal contacted police regarding a written threat made by a student. Officers and the school resource officer investigated the threat and determined it was not credible. Additional officers were stationed at the school as a precaution.

Sept. 16

Online scam: A victim called police about a job she found online where she was to receive checks, cash them and send the money back to the original sender. She did this several times, but figured out it was a scam after the bank told her the checks weren’t valid.

Sept. 17

Upset about Sound Transit: An unknown suspect damaged doors on vacant condos on 112th Avenue Southeast belonging to Sound Transit.

Burglar busted: A suspect was seen lurking in a locked backyard in the 100 block of 158th Place NE during the night. The suspect jumped over a fence and fled on foot when the victim spotted him. Officers were using police K-9s to try and track down the suspect when he attempted to enter another home. Police responded to the second victim’s home and arrested the suspect for attempted burglary.

Intimidator taken in: Officers arrested a subject on a $100,000 felony arrest warrant from the King County Sheriff’s Office for intimidating a witness/violation of court order. He also had a warrant out in Bellevue. He was booked into jail.
