Critter baby shower set April 28

The city of Bellevue is throwing a baby shower April 28. Squirrels, raccoons and rabbits already have registered their want list.

The city of Bellevue is throwing a baby shower April 28. Squirrels, raccoons and rabbits already have registered their want list.

The event, in partnership with the non-profit Sarvey Wildlife Care Center, will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Lewis Creek Visitor Center, 5808 Lakemont Boulevard SE, Bellevue. Sarvey will be collecting donations, food and supply items to help care for this year’s baby wildlife. In lieu of food or supply items, a $5 donation may be given for each participant. Gift cards also are welcome.

In addition, there will be games and activities for children and Sarvey education raptors will be on hand for a presentation. All ages are welcome.

Here’s a list of requested items.

Birds: suet, millet, Rescue Remedy, Opta-gest, cracked corn, peanuts (unsalted) shelled and unshelled’

Squirrels: bitter apple products, pet nursers, KMR and Esbilac power, anti-lick strips, fun tunnels, Snooks sweet potato dog chews, sweet potato rope chew for rodents;

Rabbits: rabbit pellets, flat dog beds and cat mats, crazy circle cat toys, fancy treat food bowls, pet warmer pads, any size litter pans (no top), any kinds of hay, pet bedding;

Raccoons: pumpkin for dogs, chewy dog treats, can/dry kitten and cat food, sturdy washable toys, Jolly balls, rope toys, Mega Squeeze Toys, black Kongs, any size food bowls;

Opossums: critter salt rocks, pill pockets, blanket toys, trainer treat bags, Pee Pee pads, White Gem wood bedding;

Baby raptors: doggy boots all sizes, Nutri-Cal Dog and Cat, plant enzymes and probiotics by Animal Essentials, dog chew treats, lung treats, any size furrari carriers, non-skid metal food bowls.

Sarvey is partnering with MudBay in Bellevue, 13407 NE 20th St., Bellevue.
