Booking.com to open, add 350 new jobs

Decision to open center in Bellevue is aided by Eastside's growing global position

Booking.com, a leader in online accommodations will open a new service center in Bellevue’s Eastgate neighborhood, creating an estimated 350 new jobs in the county.

“We’re focused on increasing our presence in a region that reflects the technological savvy and diverse workforce that perfectly fit our company,” said Managing Director Todd Dunlap.

Dunlap also added that the Economic Development Council (EDC) of Seattle helped inform Booking.com’s decision to open offices in Bellevue. EDC’s providing of information from demographics to economic statistics aided in the search.

Booking.com is a part of Priceline, with offices in over 50 countries. In 2012 it opened a 50-person facility in Seattle. That employee base will move to Bellevue later this year. Dunlap said that the Eastside’s growing international community also compliments the company’s goal of expanding to marketplaces in Asia and the Pacific Rim.

Mayor Lee echoed the companies enthusiasm, saying in a release: “This fast-growing global company will add to Bellevue’s reputation as an ever-increasing center for international business.”
