The annual Healthy Kids Day event takes place at hundreds of YMCA locations across the nation on Saturday, April 29, an initiative to improve the health and well-being of local kids. Here in the great Puget Sound area, Kaiser Permanente will partner with Team Thrive, a professional women’s cycling team, and more than 250 volunteers to fit kids with free bicycle helmets. The goal is to give away 10,000 helmets at Healthy Kids Day and similar events this spring.

Bellevue’s location will be at the Bellevue Family YMCA, 14230 Bel-Red Road from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
