Mariam Hovhannisyan, a 17-yar-old high-school student from Redmond, will have a solo exhibit of her art from 4:30 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 12 at the Northwest Art Center, 9825 N.E. 24th St., Bellevue.

Mariam Hovhannisyan, a 17-yar-old high-school student from Redmond, will have a solo exhibit of her art from 4:30 to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 12 at the Northwest Art Center, 9825 N.E. 24th St., Bellevue.

Mariam works mainly in pencil, but also acrylic, oil and mixed-media. Prints of her work are available for purchase.

She is looking toward a career in illustration.
