Stop blame-shifting | Letter

Instead of blaming legislators for listening to the people and taking action to not confirm Lynn Peterson, maybe Gov. Jay Inslee should start listening to the voters.

Instead of blaming legislators for listening to the people and taking action to not confirm Lynn Peterson, maybe Gov. Jay Inslee should start listening to the voters.

The I-405 traffic HOV lanes fiasco, erroneous toll charges (which have also happened on the 520 bridge tolls) and the Washington State Department of Transportation saying drivers haven’t adjusted to the two slightly used and three congested 405 lanes yet, is just ill-management.

The resignation of the secretaries of the Department of Corrections (the early release of 3,200 inmates) and Department of Social and Health Services (under court orders to improve how people with mental health problems are treated), are all management problems.

Maybe the governor should start hiring strong leaders with solid management experience. It is time to take responsibility and not try to shift blame for administration failures. These are three areas of critical importance to the people of Washington state and need to be fixed now.
