Bellevue and Newport each got wins ahead of huge conference showdowns.

Newport 28 Roosevelt 26

The Knights fell into a 20-6 hole at one point in the first half before rallying behind touchdowns from Conner Baumann, Tate Maider, Brian Setijono and senior quarterback Isaac Dotson.

The Nevada-bound signal caller finished things off with a two-point conversion after the final score of the night to break a 26-26 tie and help his team to the win.

Baumann finished with 145 yards on the ground and was helped by the 67 of Dotson and 73 more from running back Eric Rodan. Paul Wells had an interception for Newport in the win.

The Knights will meet Skyline with the Crest Division on the line at home on Friday at 7 p.m.

Bellevue 70 Interlake 7

The Wolverines wasted little time with crosstown Interlake, jumping to a 35-0 first quarter lead on scores from Budda Baker, John Nguyen, Myles Jack and Max Richmond.

Bellevue scored a pair of defensive touchdowns on the night and nine players in all got in the end zone.

Second ranked and unbeaten Mount Si awaits the Wolverines next Friday at 7 p.m. in Snoqualmie.

Liberty 50 Sammamish 7

The Totems were again bettered by a wide margin, falling 50-7 to Liberty. Winless Sammamish will meet Juanita on the road at 7 p.m. on Friday.

Cedar Park Christian 50 Bellevue Christian 6

BCS fell to Cedar Park Christian in the first ever matchup between the two schools.

The Vikings will travel to Eatonville next week for a 7 p.m. start.

Bellevue tops poll after win over MI

Bellevue broke a halftime tie to top Mercer Island 8-5 at King County Aquatic Center and took the top spot in the Washington State High School Water Polo Rankings in the process.
