Newport nearly picks up first win

The Mount Si Wildcats grinded out a 49-46 victory against the Newport Knights on Jan. 9 in Snoqualmie. Newport (0-8) will strive for its first victory against the Bothell Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 in Factoria.

Wolverines dominate Patriots

The Bellevue Wolverines cruised to a 69-44 win against the Liberty Patriots on Jan. 9 in Issaquah. Bellevue (8-3) will host the Juanita Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 16  at Bellevue High School.

Wolverines pummel Patriots

The Bellevue Wolverines registered a 64-33 victory against the Liberty Patriots on Jan. 9 in Issaquah. Bellevue (10-2) will host the Juanita Rebels at 8 p.m. on Jan. 16 in a Class 3A KingCo matchup at Bellevue High School.

Totems get back in win column

The Sammamish Totems got back on track after suffering a 56-49 defeat to the Mercer Island Islanders on Jan. 7. Sammamish recorded a 78-66 win against the Juanita Rebels on Jan. 9 in Kirkland. Sammamish (9-2) will host Shorewood at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 16 in Bellevue.

Knights overpower Wildcats

The Newport Knights boys basketball team earned a 66-56 win against the Mount Si Wildcats on Jan. 9 in Snoqualmie. Newport (8-1) will face the Bothell Cougars at 8 p.m. on Jan. 16  at Newport High School in Factoria.
