The state swim and dive competition begins on Friday, Feb. 17 at 9 a.m. at King County Aquatic Center with the 3A preliminaries and continues through the following day with the 2A finals as the final event on Saturday evening.

Newport owns a trio of top seeds and will be powered by Sebastian Bury, Benton Allen and Dehlan Gwo.

Bury owns the top seed time in the 100 free and second seed in the 50 free at 21.97 and Keegan McElligott will be the 20th seed in the 100 breast.

Gwo earned the third seed for the Knights in the 100 fly and will have senior teammate Conor O’Shea seeded 19th in the same event. Gwo is also the sixth seed in the 100 back, along with 16th seeded Tyler Yee. O’Shea will also swim 20th in the 500 free.

The Knights have the top seed in the 400 free relay, the second best seed time in the 200 free relay and the seventh seed time in the 200 medley relay.

Benton Allen will have the top seed time in 4:42.54 in the marathon 500 free and owns the fourth seed and will be joined by teammate Andrew Pana, seeded 18th in the 200 free.

Bellevue senior Carl Andrews is the second seed in the 50 free at 21.27 and will be joined by teammate Matt Williams in 13th. Andrews also owns the second seed in the 100 free.

Freshman Jamie Doucette will be the eighth seed in the 100 fly and teammate Kenzie Macie will be the 17th seed in the same event.

The Wolverines are the fourth seed in the 400 free relay, the fifth seed in the 200 medley relay and the ninth seed in the 200 free relay.

Michael Stanchi is the third seed in the 100 back and fourth seed in the 500 free.

Sammamish is the sixth seed in the 200 free relay and the 17th seed in the 200 medley relay and the 400 free relay.

Matt McKaig has the 22nd seed in the 50 free, Edmund Wai is seeded 17th in the 100 fly and freshman Conrad Karwal is seeded 20th in the 100 back.

Interlake has its best seed in the 400 free relay and is the 11th seed to the 200 medley relay, the 16th and final seed in the 200 free relay,

Conrad Sheridan is seeded seventh in the 500 free and eighth in the 200 free, Joe Lorr is the sixth seed in the 200 IM and ninth seed in the 100 fly. Freshman Tsukasa Ito will also swim in the 100 fly as the 15th seed and fellow frosh Albert Furlong is 14th in the 100 back. Ito is also in the 100 breast as the 16th and final seed.

Michael Lorr is the eighth seed in the 100 breast to round out the field for the Saints.
