The Emerald City Basketball Academy Swish 2020 girls basketball team, which is based out of Newcastle, captured third place at the eighth grade Amateur Athletic Union Division 1 National Championships on July 13 in Orlando, Florida. The Swish defeated the Arkansas Mavericks 70-48 in the third/fourth place contest. The Swish roster consisted of Bailee Chynoweth, Kiernen Denckla, Amanda Lee, Ariel Winslow, Nakia Boston, Brandi White, Jordyn Jenkins, Dalayah Daniels and Keeli Burton. The team was coached by Keith Wasberg and Cindi Burton.
