Striders capture second place at Junior Olympics

A Bellevue based Cross Country team competes in South Carolina

The Cascade Striders, a Bellevue based track and field club, captured second place at the USATF National Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Dec. 13. The 13/14 year-old Striders squad tallied a respectable second place finish out of 37 teams in their age group. The Striders roster consists of Luke Houser, Brayden Schultz, Riley McDowell, Lance Mason, Tyler Tanta, George Cretu and Matthew Roberts. The team was coached by Joe Johnson.
